My Story

I struggled with a meth addiction, alcoholism, and abusive relationships for over 23 YEARS. I
would go to jail, sober up, rebuild my life all to lose it all over again with my next relapse. I lived
a life of crime and complete insanity. In 2014 I was homeless, hopeless and had lost everything,
including relationships with my children. I was arrested and put in Muskogee County Jail and

this time I was ready to fully surrender my life to Christ I was tired of trying to do it on my own.
The Lord delivered me in that jail, and He gave me the vision for the Diamonds In The Rough
program. God gave me a love for other women like me, and a passionate desire to help people
overcome addiction and abuse. I remember sitting there with my messy bun in an orange jump
suit, thinking wow, what if God could really do this? In 2016 I opened the first home for
women. We now have 5 homes in Muskogee. We currently have 2 women & children’s homes,
2 single women homes, and 1 men’s home. I have watched God do so many miracles in
countless lives. I had this crazy dream to help fight the drug problem in Muskogee, and to help
restore my community one soul at a time.
