My Story

I struggled with meth addiction, alcoholism, and abusive relationships for over 23 years. My life was a cycle of jail time, temporary sobriety, and relapse. Each time I tried to rebuild, I would lose everything again — including my children and my sense of worth.

By 2014, I was homeless, hopeless, and completely broken. Sitting in the Muskogee County Jail, I realized I couldn’t do it on my own anymore. In that cell, I surrendered my life fully to Jesus Christ — and He met me there. The Lord delivered me, and in that moment, He gave me the vision for what would become the Diamonds in the Rough program.

I’ll never forget sitting there in my orange jumpsuit, messy bun and all, thinking, “What if God could really do this?” From that question, a calling was born. God placed in my heart a deep love for women like me and a passion to help others overcome addiction, abuse, and despair through His transforming power.

In 2016, we opened our first home for women in Muskogee. Today, For His Glory Houses operates six homes — including two for women and children, three for single women, and one for men. I’ve witnessed countless miracles and transformations, watching God restore lives, families, and faith.

What began as a dream to fight the drug epidemic in Muskogee has become a ministry of hope and restoration. My heart remains the same — to see my community healed, one soul at a time.

“What the enemy meant for harm, God used for good.” — Genesis 50:20
