Resident Guidelines
For His Glory Houses exists to provide a safe, structured, and faith-based environment for men and women seeking lasting recovery and spiritual growth. Residents are expected to live by the following guidelines to support their success and the harmony of the home.
1. Program Commitment

The program is a 12-month minimum commitment.

Residents are expected to participate fully in all aspects of the program, including classes, church, and recovery meetings.
2. Conduct & Behavior
-
Zero tolerance for drugs, alcohol, violence, or sexual activity.
-
No dating while in the program.
-
Respect all staff, residents, and property.
-
No profanity, gossip, or disruptive behavior.
-
Be honest, teachable, and accountable at all times.
3. Accountability & Structure
-
Curfew: Must be in the home by assigned curfew unless approved otherwise.

Chores: Complete daily and weekly chores as assigned.

Meetings: Attendance at church services and Celebrate Recovery is mandatory.

UAs: Submit to random drug and alcohol testing as requested.
-
Write-Ups: Three written violations may result in dismissal.
4. Financial Responsibility
-
Pay program fees weekly or monthly as agreed.

Residents are expected to work or actively seek employment.

Manage income responsibly—tithing, saving, and budgeting are encouraged.
5. Property & Safety
-
Respect shared spaces and personal belongings of others.
-
No weapons, drugs, alcohol, or paraphernalia allowed on property.

Keep bedrooms and common areas clean at all times.

Visitors must be approved in advance by staff.
6. Spiritual & Personal Growth
-
Regular attendance at church services, Celebrate Recovery, and Bridges Out of Poverty classes is required.
-
Participate in devotions, Bible studies, and recovery-based activities.
-
Residents are encouraged to seek mentorship and build positive relationships.
7. Disciplinary Process
-
Rule violations will result in a written warning.
-
Repeated or severe violations (such as substance use or violence) may result in immediate dismissal.
-
Residents may appeal disciplinary actions through the Program Director.
